US Electric Uses Skilled Labor Techniques
Hi, I’m James Holloman, your trusted residential electrician at US Electric.
I’d like to share some ways that my colleagues and I can make your life better.

US Electric electricians need 12,000 hours of training before starting work.
That includes 8,000 field hours of experience and 4,000 class hours before they start working. US Electricians use a lot of critical thinking and math skills. They use trigonometry for conduit bending, calculus to figure out how many wires are in a conduit and high level algebra for lots of tasks like finding a resistance value or calculating a voltage drop. Candle equations are used frequently and measure the light level in a space.
If this sounds like gibberish to you, that’s ok, let us handle it.
But to give you an idea of what I mean…

Conduit Bending is involved in most installations. Conduits protect your electrical wiring. Your electrical wires are running in different directions behind your walls. So, you can imagine that there will be some twists and turns along the way. Your US electrician will know exactly what kind of cable to install in wet or damp locations so that problems don’t arise. |
Candle Equations are used frequently by US Electricians.
They basically let us know how much light is needed in a space. Candle equations are especially important in residential LED lighting installation. LED lights will save you up to 80% in energy costs. US Electric is hard at work using these mathematical skills to solve your problems. All of our electricians are skilled in their craft and ready to guide you in the process. |
Never do it yourself
Most circuit breaker panels have two vertical rows of breakers.
Above (or sometimes below) the rows is a large breaker called the main breaker.
Above (or sometimes below) the rows is a large breaker called the main breaker.
This breaker controls the power to all of the other breakers. If you switch off the main breaker, you turn off all the circuits in the house at once. However, this does not mean the panel is not energized. The lugs that connect to the service lines remain energized whether the main breaker is on or off. That's why you should never remove the dead front cover or go poking around inside a circuit breaker panel. The main breaker is marked with the value of protection (such as 100 or 200 amps) on the breaker lever.
